You only rarely see him outside “the shed” in few of his ‘episodes’.
Jon McDowell is a crossover creator who usually goes under the name Trainboy54 online. Jon is a pre-schooler in the body of a 21 year old man, who lives in his parents’ hovel, living off a years-old addiction for Disney’s “Phineas and Ferb” andThomas the Tank Engine. He even asks for presents of Thomas toy sets and Phineas and Ferb video games for Christmas and his birthday. As of now, we don’t know if Jon’s fascination with Thomas goes back to his childhood. We also don’t know, and can only assume, if Jon is another awful case of lazy upbringing.
He has his own “Adventures of” series called, “Trainboy54’s Adventures of Phineas and Ferb”, supposedly inspired by many of the other “Adventures” out there. In it, he poorly inserts himself into episodes of the show and 'interacts’ with the characters and their Summer hijinks. He dances , sings, acts , jokes , and even in the show demonstrated the magic ability to transform himself into a Thomas re-color. Even with that ability, the editing between himself and his Thomas persona are incredibly inconsistent. Even during a musical number. With his videos, he tends to show off his very open, very sad, childish preferences and favourite things to do. Other than the episodes of his “series”, most of his YouTube account consists of him showing off his toy collection, attempting fan dubs like most of the other crossover creators, and video tributes to other Thomas fans he knows.
He is also good friends with Ben Ackley, another fan of Thomas the Tank Engine. Ben is a frequent collaborator with Jon, appearing in each others videos, and Jon even inspired Ben to start his own “Adventures of Phineas and Ferb” series. Interestingly, Jon and Ben only rarely respond to the negative comments and reception they get on their videos as little as there are. The only known case of them trying to stop it was an unsuccessful Change.org petition they made.
