Would you please not remove this entry I’ve sent on Heck No Pooh’s Adventures, because this is a Pooh’s Adventures trailer after all so it counts as a adventure although it’s just a trailer just like “Pooh’s Adventures of Jesus Christ Superstar”.

15 likes and 1 dislike. There’s a train off rails, for God’s sake!

DragonStorm545 uploaded this on April 27, 2012 and this makes me wonder, is this even going to get made?

Psyga's General Blog: Why

psyga315:

Okay, I’m gonna liveblog this like how that Heck No Pooh’s Adventures blog does it and do it bit by bit. By the way, this is Twilight and Thomas go to boring alantis location #3421 to have some finny fun. And I’m only doing one part.

  • 0:55 - I don’t think you kinda count as family, but whatever.
  • 1:00 - I’d rather this gets replaced by One Piece’s We Are. Yes, I’d rather have a Japanese song ruined by this genre than listen to another second of this song. In fact, I skipped it.
  • 3:51 - So naturally, instead of focusing on, oh I don’t know, the heroes, we focus on the idea of Pokemon Rangers, and Ash Ketchum. I know, it’s the movie and all that, but still.
  • 5:00 - Aside from some stupid intro, no such edits. This will end well. What are we focusing on instead, movie? Random egg? YAY.
  • 6:32 - Fuck yeah. HIT IT! (for the record, I’d rather have this be the opening than the We are Family bull)
  • 8:26 - So, this IS Twilight and Thomas’ Adventures of Pokemon: Atlantis Is Boring, Why Did We Decide To Go?, right? So why the hell are we looking at a guy who is 20% cooler? Argh, this is Canterlot Wedding all over again.
  • 10:00 - No sign of the trains or ponies. Did Michael Bay direct this movie?
  • 11:54 - Can we just have Jack be our main hero for both this movie, this adventure, AND the entire Pokemon Series? He’d kick all sorts of fucking ass.
  • 12:53 - I’m gonna go ahead and say that’s the only edit we’re ever going to see for this part.
  • 13:12 - Oh God, Ash is in the afterlife, and he and Brock are regenerating voice actors!
  • 13:21 - FINAFUCKINGLY {sees how much time is left} Welp, Luna would be proud.
  • 13:26 - Thomas finally acknowledges that he has some sort of female fanbase. Only God knows why there is one.
  • 13:33 - Huh, I didn’t know the writer for Ponies.MOV was doing this episode.
  • 13:50 - Huh, the Trains actually do something that trains do. That’s a start.
  • 14:17 - Suddenly Pluto comes, with a letter from Mickey Mouse, and Ash and friends follow him, only to wind up in a castle where they lose their memories and- Oh, sorry, I was thinking of a better crossover.

And that’s all. Zippcast does a huge cost on bandwidth, so I can’t do everything in one go.

Not only is there barely any Digimon footage used for at least the first 15 min but they abuse subtitles.

Another person who sent me this video said:

Holy Shit. A Pooh’s Adventure thats somewhat…tolerable and decent?! (Don’t worry, it’s still flawed as fuck and even uses 9/11 disgustingly.)

So why does this have so many likes? Let’s watch Brerdaniel’s Winnie the Pooh: Hundred Acre Digimon and find out.

  • 0:22 ONLY ONE PERSON DOESN’T LIKE THIS.
  • 0:34 Even if this is only an original, short story, it’s still refreshing to see a Pooh’s Adventure actually begin like traditional Winnie the Pooh.
  • 1:10 Not fooled by the ridiculous title covering an educational book.
  • 1:40 A vulture cameo and already this is better than Pooh’s Adventures of Who Killed Who.
  • 2:46 “housesit Christopher Robin’s house” Goofy’s English isn’t that goofy.
  • 2:55 Nothing too special, considering how useless they are in these videos.
  • 3:12 For the umpteenth time, considering how many videos feature these vultures.
  • 3:25 *hint hint*
  • 3:29 I’ll give him this - he wasn’t too lazy to use footage from Jiminy Cricket’s Mickey Mouse Club sketches.
  • 3:35 A better crossover, perhaps?
  • 3:47 So why is he plucking carrots?
  • 3:52 So that carrot patch is a computer?
  • 4:01 That’s a weird place to put a keyboard.
  • 4:05 3D Donald and Goofy. Because they just don’t care. Even if this shot actually features Goofy at a computer.
  • 4:10 How is it possible that people are fooled by subtitles overlapping real subtitles?
  • 4:17 An uncredited Sora cameo.
  • 4:38 Tigger messed up that computer so badly it glitched up and turned him into Experiment 626.
  • 4:51 And he even glitched up the language.
  • 5:24 Now this is how all Pooh’s Adventures should begin!
  • 6:08 The giant building blocks, the giant books…
  • 6:46 Since when did Pooh Bear like coconuts and bananas?
  • 6:59 English subtitles overlapping Japanese subtitles? Eh, that’s better than how it’s usually done.
  • 7:45 Oh my goodness. There’s that mistake again, and this isn’t even a Thomas and Twilight Sparkle’s Adventure!
  • 7:54 What the hell kind of Digimon is that?
  • 8:10 This is actually not too horrendous, as it’s taking on the creator’s own story and there’s reaction shots that rarely get used in Pooh’s Adventures. But when’s the 9/11 reference going to happen?
  • 9:46 Ah yes. Can’t have a Pooh’s Adventure without footage from that episode.
  • 9:57 I’m only surprised at how he’s the only villain.
  • 10:29 Since when was Mowgli credited?
  • 10:57 Well, as far as I can tell it’s no wonder this got so many likes.
  • 11:24 Subtle?
  • 11:56 All those clever uses of Pooh in a log and they escape from a curtain. For shame.
  • 12:19 Mickey should know - as the channel bug clearly states, he picked the show up and put it on TV.
  • 12:57 [link]
  • 13:48 [link]
  • 14:15 *rolls his eyes*
  • 14:57 Someone actually reacted to the fact that they're talking toys? [link]
  • 15:39 Rabbit just wrecked the fourth wall.
  • 16:03 Why is Mickey dressed like a vampire?
  • 16:19 Woah, I think I just predicted the future with my character introduction gags.
  • 16:27 Did he seriously think those subtitles would be that easy to read?
  • 17:18 New York? Since when? They’re Japanese!
  • 17:24 PEOPLE FUCKING LIKE THIS.
  • 17:30 Okay, I guess it’s safe to give this a terrible rating after all. And besides, September isn’t summer.
  • 19:40 Just because an anime was delayed because of 9/11, doesn’t mean that it’s tolerable to bring Digimon into this!
  • 20:00 Oh, bother.
  • 20:45 I highly doubt that.
  • 21:05 Your cue, Eeyore. Eeyore?
  • 21:51 Okay, since Pooh and Kaa sound the same, that I’ll have to give credit to.
  • 22:10 He’s a tiger. [link]
  • 23:47 The music stopped, and the evolution scene is still going. So what’s the point of playing the rest of it the whole way through?
  • 24:03 Since when did Shere Khan be as capable of throwing stuff like the two-legger he was in TaleSpin?
  • 24:13 Shouldn’t there be any talk of Shere Khan and Tigger’s similarities?
  • 24:37 With all these Digimon not appearing at once, Pooh and his friends would be eaten by now.
  • 25:40 Just as subtle as 21:51.
  • 26:36 Even if Christopher Robin would need to know a lot more about the Digimon, saying “and their Digimon” at least saves time.
  • Effortlessness in telling a story: image
  • Misuse of reaction shots: image
  • Character unfaithfulness:
  • Continuity stupidity: image
  • Disgustingness of the use of 9/11: imageimage

Overall: 2.6/5

0.48/10. The editing is flawed but this time, Daniel actually put effort into telling a crossover story of his own. He at least knows what he’s doing with the clips he uses, some of them making relatively clever results,  knows the characters of Pooh, the vultures and Mickey better than most, and makes sense out of people’s reactions to talking toys and entering another world. What’s more, it’s not an adventure through an entire episode, which is refreshing by Pooh’s Adventures standards.

This could’ve been the Godfather of Pooh’s Adventures, if it weren’t for the 9/11 reference. Butchering the entire video’s potential of being tolerable, it’s an insulting and simple-minded excuse to make its audience cry - imagine how kids must feel after watching it. Wasn’t there any other way to depict the loss of Tai’s parents? Disasters happen in Japan, too, and bringing up the September 11th attacks randomly is not only pushing it all too far, but forced. Brerdaniel, I appreciate your intentions, but next time would you try and choose a better excuse for anyone’s loss next time?
