Pooh's Adventures of Rock and Rule, part 6

  • 0:16 The cut from a druggie to Donald Duck really sums it all up.
  • 3:23 A new a little criticism about the movie itself: What I found weird about this scene was that we never saw this double again.
  • 3:46 Yet another thing I hadn’t realised until now? So many of these adventures involve some of the heroes being caged. Not killed or cursed, just caged. People like this.
  • 5:40 I mean, really. They could have suffered the same punishment as the real heroes.
  • 7:03 This is what could happen when one watches Pooh’s Adventures. Be warned.
  • 12:16 That entire song proved that Mok was the one and only. And then Bowser from the Mario games appeared.
  • 13:40 Anyone who has not seen Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 should proceed no further.
  • 14:00 And no Crime Empire, either.

Pooh's Adventures of Rock and Rule, part 5

I’m surprised that nobody has reacted to Cindy’s panty shots at all. Especially Brock.

  • 0:22 No weirder than Daniel’s.
  • 2:11 I dunno, Jessie, Sparky makes a point.
  • 3:34 Not only doesn’t Daniel notice that he spelled “Ancient” wrong, but he doesn’t even notice that Bowser’s new captions are in the way of his face.
  • 4:14 And that’s the way things go when you have dozens of villains stopping your heroes at a time.
  • 5:07 Would make some sense in 2005.
  • 5:41 You can say that again. And again. And again…
  • 5:43 You already have. Millions of times.
  • 5:50 Nickelodeon.
  • 5:58 PEOPLE LIKE THIS.
  • 6:23 With such filler as this, the movie has gone from 78 minutes to 125.
  • 6:52 You’re not helping, hero.
  • 7:33 In this scene, the tattoo is cut out. But will it be completely cut out?
  • 8:11 Oh… *stares at the bottom-left corner and bursts with laughter*
  • 8:44 *laughs even harder*
  • 9:31 People… *laughs* …they like this…
  • 10:25 A hybrid of paying attention and not looking close enough.
  • 10:44 Not having Mok as the leader ruins his wit and his independence.
  • 11:15 Ah, Club 666, the raunchiest scene in the movie - drugs are smoked, nipples stick out and breasts are groped. Then again, it happened in the Mark Twain movie and it got rated G…
  • 12:13 And here’s our first sign in the scene that Daniel fails at censorship.
  • 12:25 *laughs again*
  • 12:58 Wow. Just……wow. He barely censored anything in this scene. Makes me wonder what’s going on with the South Park crossovers…
  • 14:14 Cindy was such a well-animated character for some reason.
  • 14:45 They especially weren’t allowed in the club, unless they stood on top of each other and walked around in a trenchcoat.

Pooh's Adventures of Rock and Rule, part 4

  • 0:07 Wasn’t it already obvious? There’s always hundreds of villains after you at the same time.
  • 1:08 For vandalism and movie piracy, that’s why. That’s the way the government works, I’m sorry to say.
  • 2:04 Again, this shot just makes the logic of these videos all the more confusing. There’s a reason the original movies limit their main characters down to a few, you know.
  • 3:00 You should know already, you’ve met many of these villains in so many of your past adventures.
  • 3:13 I haven’t yet pointed out that this is one of the most common cliches in these videos; “You know him?”
  • 4:16 “Excatly.” Haven’t these people any idea of how slow the pace becomes when so many villains are introduced? It’s like Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but much x200 worse. I know I’m making a lot of comments on things I may or could have pointed out before, but God, these videos are uninspired.
  • 5:07 Don’t you mean “a challenge”? Because that’s less literal.
  • 5:26 No, I’m never suprise to see you at all.
  • 5:33 This has been going on for three minutes already, and that feels like three hours. Our heroes should be dead by now.
  • 7:08 I haven’t watched any episode of Avatar, but I know how you fans are feeling right now discovering that they made Azula the wife of Bowser Jr.
  • 9:35 PEOPLE LIKE THIS.

Pooh's Adventures of Rock and Rule, part 3

  • 1:21 Why is Kanga still never part of these videos even when she appears by coincidence?
  • 1:58 Everyone here is dumb. Just as much as three of the teammates. Nobody here has a personality.
  • 2:32 Who, even in cartoons, says that?
  • 3:05 Don’t worry, he could have meant Pooh Bear.
  • 3:44 Never mind him, this thing’s supppsed to be focusing on Pooh!
  • 4:54 The villains put on their unfinished dino disguises.
  • 7:33 And there they are. The Pokemon guys do so much more and yet Pooh Bear is always the hero out of every one of these characters.
  • 9:21 Heh, pathetic English dubbing.
  • 10:25 What was that supposed to be, a one-liner?
  • 11:10 I’ll give Daniel some credit for not mentioning every single one of them in a whole sentence unlike plenty of other people.
  • 12:34 Another thing Daniel didn’t understand - when it comes to censoring objectional content, he’s not very eagle-eyed.
  • 13:34 Since when did this happen?
  • 14:06 Oh dear, another “at” montage.

Pooh's Adventures of Rock and Rule, part 2

  • 0:30 Why are they looking so surprised? They didn’t even like the music.
  • 0:56 Well, now you know what rock is.
  • 1:16 Brock in love with a mouse. Ew. Then again, this is the same series where Little Godzilla banged a little girl.
  • 3:00 Please, this is a kids show, not BoJack Horseman.
  • 3:15 Just because it’s a concert doesn’t mean it’s acceptable for you even as a villain to say the obvious out loud even as someone who can speak in captions.
  • 4:35 Like I’ve said before, there are so many additional characters it’s no wonder they have to pick a guest at random in order to give every one of them credit.
  • 5:22 You think that’s rude? Later on, a couple of characters say “shit”. Seriously, not everything has to be your adventure.
  • 5:28 Jonathan Liebsman’s Raphael?
  • 6:04 Zazu reviews a Pooh’s Adventure.
  • 6:13 It’s definitely not as weird as this video. What’s Yzma doing with the heroes?
  • 6:16 It’s bothering me, too. Hmm… I wonder…
  • 6:40 He’d just flip the bird at you and walk away without a damn to give.
  • 8:25 So far, they didn’t censor/get that.
  • 8:55 People like this.
  • 9:19 This is one of the things that makes the whole thing confusing - the guests are nowhere to be seen in this shot.
  • 10:25 Our second reaction montage, yet another excuse to slow down the pace of the adventure. Me, when I parodied these videos I stretched 100 minutes of film combined to 155. That’s how boring this is.
  • 13:29 And all because not a single villain has died yet.
  • 13:41 And when will you be through with them exactly?
  • 13:47 One of the many rules for these adventures. Sad, isn’t it?

Pooh's Adventures of Rock and Rule, part 1

image

Rock and Rule was one of those adult-oriented ‘toon movies from the 80’s that was Nelvana’s first feature film, and it was nothing like what they would produce later. The script was lame, but the animation was well done enough to make it passable at best. It had balls for a PG - there were drugs, boobs, S-words, heavy metal, you name it. And yet, not even a film like this can suffer undergoing a more reasonless edit than the MGM version - the Pooh’s Adventures version. Yes, Winnie the Pooh is ready to rock and this movie is ready to hit rock bottom. But let’s watch the damn thing anyway to see what they had to censor. Pooh’s Adventures of Rock and Rule.

  • 2:25 You do know there’s a version available with the title included, right? Right?
  • 2:58 Or is it? You never can tell with the amount of videos like this.
  • 3:04 Are you using Windows Movie Maker on XP? If so, did you know that you can control the volume of clips?
  • 3:54 BOWSER: What? I can’t hear you, the music’s too… Could someone please turn that damn music down?
  • 4:06 Mok didn’t take this long to be revealed. These people don’t know what the hell the element of surprise is.
  • 4:20 And now he sorts out the volume out of all the times he could have done it beforehand.
  • 9:18 Bowser can’t fit into this car even if he was the only one inside.
  • 12:03 *jumps off of his seat*
  • 12:19 Well, thanks for saving me the trouble at least.
  • 12:29 The main hero out of every character in this video.
  • 12:58 [link]
  • 13:58 Face it, Piglet, it’s still better than dubstep.

Pooh's Adventures of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, part 9

  • 0:59 In case you’ve never seen the real film, yes, they really do use this song in the credits.
  • 2:25 I’m pretty sure it’s Bret Iwan.
  • 3:26 Even further proof that these people see Roger Rabbit as just a fun crossover.
  • 5:21 Of course. Of course. He’s working with trains.
  • 6:16 THIS IS YOUR REVIEWING IDOL, ANIMATION FANATICS
  • 7:50 Yeah! Thanks for not letting him put this on YouTube!
  • 8:03 Define “great”.
  • 8:08 And may God have mercy on your soul, dear viewer.
  • 8:14 [link]
  • 8:37 They just broke the fourth wall at the end and still you continue the story like this? Come on, remember how Pooh’s Adventures of Ghostbusters ended?
  • 9:22 Funny, that’s just what I was thinking beforehand. God, the predictability…
  • Repetition: image
  • Lack of sense: image
  • The penguins: image
  • Introduction montages: image
  • Lack of understanding on breaking the fourth wall: image

Overall: 3.4/5

0.32/10. Well, that was okay. The movie I mean, not the video. The video sucks. While it could have been worse, it just goes to show how these Pooh’s Adventures creators do not understand comedy, even when it isn’t that funny itself. They just see movies as fun and adventure, not anything inspirational (besides crossovers) or well-developed.

You’d have to be a complete fool to miss the point of a film that has the intention of satire or teaching life lesssons; Back in Action may be too self-aware, but it’s the anti-Space Jam, and one of the biggest problems with Space Jam was that it was fun over substance, with too many characters surrounding our hero including those with no personality. This video is not what Joe Dante had in mind. And what better way to finish off a commentary on Looney Tunes than…

Pooh's Adventures of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, part 8

These people think they’re so epic…

  • 0:30 And by unexpected he means COMPLETELY EXPECTED
  • 0:46 Poor Genie has been tortured by video editing so brutally he gets cut off abruptly twice.
  • 0:51 Indeed, Pooh. Two of your friends got cut off abruptly.
  • 0:57 Don’t these people care that there’s two captions at the same time?
  • 1:21 You should know, you weirdo.
  • 5:03 And they use the Shrek 2 cover as if it’s the only one that ever existed. Or maybe just because cartoons.
  • 6:47 The creator should know that by having the music that loud we can not understand what anyone in the real movie is saying.
  • 13:36 For a moment there, I was going to throw a fit.
  • 13:52 *rolls eyes* Of course he would.
  • 14:13 And here’s where the continuity in the Pooh’s Adventures series continues to prove that it makes no sense at all.

Pooh's Adventures of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, part 7

  • 0:29 [link]
  • 1:20 Heh, he missed the chance to steal Brendan Fraser’s line.
  • 3:00 Once again, I’m rooting more for the penguins in terms of crossover heroes.
  • 3:49 Insert cutaway here.
  • 4:43 “Woah, if looks could ki*cut off* [link]
  • 4:58 Or this isn’t Pooh’s Adventures! Wait…
  • 5:45 Still truer to his character than any of the guest stars.
  • 6:02 How long exactly? They’ve faced against each other hundreds of times, after all.
  • 6:15 Of course, this is still less forced than what became of the antagonists of El Arca.
  • 6:24 The Hundred Acre Wood Rebel Alliance. THE HUNDRED ACRE WOOD REBEL ALLIANCE. THE HUNDRED ACRE WOOD REBEL ALLIANCE.
  • 8:07 A few kids were until crossover footage showed up.
  • 9:13 See how pointless these guest stars are?
  • 12:40 Does this mean the Power Rangers guys will get the same punishment?
  • 12:54 Because these videos are generic as hell, that’s why.

Pooh's Adventures of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, part 6

  • 0:08 Well, you’re not helping.
  • 1:12 This so far is the best possible explanation.
  • 1:39 Well, with the amount of heroes here it won’t work as well as you think.
  • 3:51 Owl working at a museum in France. Sounds normal by this movie’s standards.
  • 4:15 Even more so when they’re hijacked by Winnie the Pooh.
  • 7:40 See what BrerDaniel is missing?
  • 7:50 You know you can drive straight over there, right?
  • 8:37 I was. I’ve seen this movie.
  • 10:13 No it doesn’t. Fierce looks like something ugly and with big, sharp teeth. Weirdo.
  • 10:34 Really? Looks like you’re going the wrong way.
  • 10:54 The Penguins of Madagascar, hell, even Pokémon have the most appropriate reaction shots in this video.
  • 11:38 And you’re being interrupted by more cartoon characters than Joe Dante intended. This never wanted to be Space Jam, you know.
  • 12:40 He already had a duck beside him in the original movie. What’s the need for that caption?
  • 14:00 [link]
  • 14:05 Like going on the exact same adventure, for instance.
  • 14:13 You’re one to talk. Look at the way Genie was going when Jenna Elfman was falling!
  • 14:37 How are they all going to fit onto one elephant?

Pooh's Adventures of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, part 5

Seriously, it’s very hot over here and I can’t turn the fan on because I won’t hear what anyone’s saying!

  • 1:25 SPOILERS: This doesn’t happen.
  • 2:20 Just when I was moderately chuckling.
  • 4:14 Not as much as characters appearing somewhere else when they’re supposed to be in the desert.
  • 4:40 Oh, if only they had the software to scream at once.
  • 5:30 Why aren’t the penguins the heroes again?
  • 5:38 More special guests. It would make more sense if we first see the Power Rangers villains here.
  • 7:01 What? An awe montage now?
  • 8:57 An edited picture and a caption nearly completely in the way of the edit. These videos…
  • 9:55 Can’t they use a reaction shot that doesn’t involve a character that is a friend of Pooh’s but not supposed to be part of the team?
  • 10:52 For God’s sake, even the Ash clip fits.
  • 11:18 EVERYONE: What?
  • 11:30 He’s started it three times so far.
  • 12:25 Oh, shut up, you Walt Disney bastard.
  • 13:17 Eh, now don’t start that again!

Pooh's Adventures of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, part 4

I haven’t yet complained about how quiet the real movie footage is compared to the inserted footage. Sort out your THX sound settings, damn it!

  • 0:12 Not even Abu’s flattered that you’re mistaking him for Piglet.
  • 0:47 A more cartoonish reaction would be freezing in mid-air and exposing a skeleton for a few frames.
  • 0:59 Pretty much the only reason this was rated PG in my country. Know your ratings, crossover creators! What would parents expect with “Pooh” in the title?
  • 1:37 And fail at it.
  • 1:48 Nice try at covering Brendan Fraser up.
  • 1:55 Ash, you’re not too young to battle but you’re surely too young to gamble. This isn’t Bob’s Burgers, you know.
  • 2:32 Clearly Ash lost.
  • 4:18 Like I said, how can they all fit in the car? And wouldn’t the vultures be flying?
  • 4:46 This line nearly always leads to an introduction scene. Oh, bother. This is no ti
  • 4:52 Just as I was about to type the same thing.
  • 5:27 Well, the visuals here surely seem to fit what Rabbit’s saying.
  • 6:24 Like a bad crossover isn’t inspiring enough.
  • 7:46 Just because spy films are about suspension of disbelief doesn’t restrict me from questioning the logic of this.
  • 8:07 Nobody knows with you around. Where are you supposed to be?
  • 8:12 “rescure”
  • 8:15 Like adventurers like you would never see it coming.
  • 8:22 I get the felling the creatore is furgeting how 2 spel.
  • 8:27 Speaking of which, Pooh isn’t talking much…
  • 9:22 Because why the hell not.
  • 9:50 Speak for yourself. You’ve been on thousands of adventures already.
  • 10:22 That’s it? Saves even more time, at least.
  • 11:10 If they were, they’d be wearing funky suits right about now.
  • 13:46 The first time in ages this is timed right.
  • 13:57 Look at that, the crossover characters are starting to become aware of their own repetition.
